Intercasmo Head Health Maintenance theory

"养(Yang)" in Chinese means to raise, to preserve, and to care; "生(Sheng)" means life, health, and growth.

The phrase of "养生 (health maintenance)" can be traced back to Huangdi Neijing, or the Inner Canon of Huangdi, an ancient Chinese medical text, in which it is stated that "the sages cultivate their health by means of adapting themselves to cold and heat, balancing joy and anger, maintaining a regular daily life, adjusting Yin and Yang, and regulating sturdiness and softness. In such a way they are able to avoid attack of Xie (Evil) and live a long life". The core concepts here are "adapting" and "balancing”, which are also corner stones of health maintenance theory of traditional Chinese medicine.
